Stryder is a community transport not-for-profit organisation and is a registered charity. Stryder was founded 32 years ago from the grassroots of the local Ryde community, by people who identified the need for accessible transport options for the more vulnerable people living in the area. It was known as Ryde Hunters Hill Community Transport. Stryder is the Transport for NSW contracted service provider for community transport for the Ryde Hunters Hill LGAs.
With its new name, Stryder’s vision has grown to serve the broader community. Stryder has a fleet of 11 vehicles, that can be hired out either with or without a driver to businesses, community groups or individuals. Revenue raised is poured back into the charity work that Stryder provides with its personal, caring and reliable medical, shopping and social transport services.
So, when you are next want to get a group of people to an event, give Stryder a call! You may have wedding guests that need to get to a reception, a work event that requires transport, or a community group that could use a bus. Or you might have an idea of supporting the local community through supporting a bus shuttle service. Their general manager, Virginia, would love to hear about your ideas.
